Joan's Card for this week's Challenge~~~

I have created a birthday card for our Grandson John and I am using it for this Week's Challenge.
What fun it was.  He is turning 7, so these stamps really remind me of him.  I think he will love his card.

Selma's husband had surgery, so she has been at the hospital with him and hasn't been able to get a card made for this week's challenge.  Please lift their family up in prayer as they have had a rough few weeks since their accident in January.

This is the front of John's card.  Don't you just love this park bench?  I certainly do.
Everything is layered and popped up.
This is the inside of John's card.  I absolutely love the Pop N Cuts.  I stamped the Our Daily Bread stamp onto a oval Nestability using Versa Fine Ink.  Then I sponged Distressed Ink on to the stamped image, spritzed it with water and then blotted it with a towel.  I think it makes it look like there are clouds in the back ground.
Here you can see how the card is popped up.
I think my Grandchildren will really love the Popped 'N " Cuts and they are so fun to make.  Please note that I just used a regular stamp on the popped up part, which allows you to use so many things that you already own.
The blue starry paper is by Graphic 45 and is out of the paper pack Happy Haunting which has been discontinued.
Below are the items I used to make this card.  You can click on the image and then when you get to the page, scroll down until you find it.

Here is what you need to do for this week's Challenge:

  • Create an outdoors scene
  • Create a birthday card

You will have until next Thursday (February 21) morning 6:00 AM EST to link your project. You can enter more than once. A winner will be chosen from the Random Drawing for week #6. The winner of the challenge will be announced Friday, February 22. This winner will win a Marianne Die. The winner will also be entered in the 2013 end of the year $100 gift certificate drawing.

Below are the guidelines:

1. You must have a blog or post to the SCS gallery.
2. Post your challenge card to your blog.
3. Or if you are posting to the SCS gallery, you will need to use a special code to tag your card to the challenge. This week's code is joansgardens, JG0214 and needs to be posted with the challenge. Please enter both on the same line with a comma between as I have shown.
4. Link your card/project to the Blue Inlinkz icon listed at the bottom of the challenge.

This is a wonderful card. Your circle image is especially great - I really like these pop ups. A special thanks to both you and Selma for your great inspiration.

What a darling card. And Happy Birthday to the little guy.
I didn't realize that they were in an accident either, but please know our thoughts and prayers are there for his speedy recovery from surgery and their quick healing from the accident.

Oh my friend, that is delightful,, So cute and I'm sure he will like all the little things in it. You had a lot of fun cutting with the EBosser I see. I sent a note to Selma the other day, but did not know that they had an accident.
Hope they are both on the mend soon.
