Anniversary Card by Joan

Wednesday, February 6, 2013
Yesterday was Jon and my 19th anniversary.  We had planned to go out for dinner and see a movie, but it started snowing and the roads were very nasty.  Jon stopped and picked up the movie
"Flight" that was just released on DVD.  He also picked up a pizza.  Do you think we are getting "old" when it is as much fun staying home as it is going out???  Actually, I think it means we are very content.  That sounds better than we are getting old. :)
I made him this Pop'N Cut Anniversary Card.  I sure wish the pictures did it justice, but I just couldn't get the action of the Pop Up and it is so cute.  For the "lovebirds" I used a Die-Version Die and glued it on to the new Memory Box Box Heart Die..  One thing I love about these Pop'n Cut dies, is you can use lots of what you already have as long as you make the initial purchase of the base plate.
Keep in mind, the Base Plate Die I used today is for the A2 size cards and the one that I just posted yesterday is for 5x5 cards.  The one I used today is available now, but the new one is not available until June.  Also, take note that I glue the Pop Up onto a 6x6 card, so I can still use my larger size card that I love.

This is the front of the card.
This is the inside of the card.  When it opens, the Love Birds Pop up.
This is the side view.  You can see where I attached the Love Bird to the pop-up part of the Sizzix die.

Love pop-ups, darn, Grand Calibur wont handle that thick plate. Being new to the craft I cant afford two machines.

Happy Anniversary! A lovely card! I think you're smart not to get out in traffic in bad weather. You can celebrate as well at home.. and you can always go out when the weather improves.
