August Workshop

Wow! Three days of fun and learning new ideas and tips. How much better can it be!  We start around 9 and end around 5 with a fantastic potluck lunch.  On Friday we ate outside around the pond as it was a gorgeous day.  Saturday it was hotter so some ate outside and some inside.  Sunday everyone ate inside because they were anxious to get started creating. (We don't start until noon on Sunday)
I am so thankful for the gals that come early to help me.  Gretchen arrived on Sunday and she cut the dies for the girls packets.  Darlene arrived on Wednesday and she does her majic organizing the shop and Betty arrived on Thursday and helped with all the last minute details that needs attention.  I am so blessed!!!!
Friday's Workshop working hard!
Friday's Workshop outside
Saturday's Workshop
Sunday's Workshop
I didn't get an outside picture because it was raining.
Below are the projects we created during the workshop.
Some of the gals used the this image and some got the one above.  Both are from the Graphic 45 Ladies Diary Collection.
I taught them how to make the Begonia Flower using Build a Flower #2.  We used chipboard for the frame which makes a gorgeous easy gift.  Below I am showing the Easel die by Tim Holtz.    This dies is fantastic to put on the back of your cards so they can easily be displayed.  Be sure to use the Sizzix Crease Pad with it or any die you have that cuts through your paper.  What a difference that made!  Selma designed the beige one when she was here and I designed the colorful one.
If you click on the picture they will enlarge and you can see them better.

This was my first workshop - hubby and I drove 4 hours from Grand Blanc Michigan to attend - it was well worth the trip. On Friday, my husband went golfing while I made the projects. I made new crafting friends too! Joan has a lovely home and property - it was a pleasant visit. Thank you Joan for a nice workshop ~ I hope to attend again sometime.
