New Challenge for this Week

Selma designed this gorgeous card for this week's Card Challenge.  Be sure to read all about it by clicking here!  We hope you will be able to join us with your cards.

Here is what you need to do for Joan's Gardens Weekly Challenge #4

■ Create a Card using something from nature
■ Create a card using several layers
■ Create a card using glitter
■ Created a card using a border around the card

Another Birthday Card

Ruby is one of the 4 children that my daughter Lori and her hubby have adopted.

Ruby has a birthday this week too, so I have made her the card shown below.  I think she will love it as she loves fancy, girly things.

This card is another 6x5.5 card (my favorite size) and the paper is from my scrap drawer.  Cheery Lynn's Flower Chain border is shown at the bottom.  I colored the Magnolia stamped image with Distressed Inks using the La Blanche Paper.  The background die is by Marianne LR0116 and it was embossed  with the Victorian Cuttlebug folder.  Fanciful Flourish B117 Cheery Lynn die added some accent around the flower I made using the Mega Dahlia punch.  The stamen is the large and medium sun punches by Punch a Bunch.  Happy Birthday is stamped with the JustRite stamp and cut out using the Gourmet Tags by Spellbinders.  Pop Ups by Therm-O-Web was used under the Flower Chain, the Magnolia Stamp, and the Marianne die.

Birthday Card

It just doesn't seem possible that Dylan, my Great Grandson is celebrating his 3rd birthday this week.  Where does time go?  I made this card for him yesterday and it is so cute.  I think he (and his Mama) will love it.

This card went together so quick and easy.  Several items from the Magic of Oz by Graphic 45 8x8 paper pack were used for this card. The Tin Man back ground paper is attached to a folded 6x5.5 piece of Neenah paper.  The bottom postage like stamps were cut and accordion folded and attached at the folds with Score Tape.   The Tin Man's nose has Stickles on it to make it sparkle and everything is popped up with Therm-O-Web pop ups.  I wish you could see the dimension of the card as it really is what makes the card so pretty.

Tip - Yesterday after cutting things out of this paper pack, I glued a 6x6 envelope to the back piece of the card board (underneath the back page) so that I could put the extra cut pieces in it. This way they will be at my fingertips the next time I needed them and I won't have to search through my scrap paper to find it.  This is probably not a new tip, but it is new for me .
