Cards from Workshops and pictures of attendees

Christmas pop up card using Sizzix Zigzag Pop-Up Die.  This die makes it so easy and fun to make a pop- up card.  You can see the video byKaren from Sizzix here! Selma has posted today the Scallop Pop Up Die and she also did a great tutorial on  how we did the Organza Fabric flower.  What fun!  Be sure to take a look at it here!

We use the La Blanche stamp and paper and the gals were amazed what a difference it made in the image.
I showed them lots of techniques with this card that I learned at CHA and it was lots of fun.

The mum flower was made using the Cheery Lynn Sunflower punch .  Selma is doing a tutorial on it later this week.  I taught gals to color and make their own paper at the beginning of the workshop so that it would dry.  Then we cut the leaves out of the paper for this card and embossed them with Utee.
The brick Sizzix Embossing folder is a perfect background and believe it or not it was done on lime green paper.    They also used a smaller Cheery Lynn leaf and poured a Utee in a Frame to make the square on the bottom right.  They loved that technique.

Friday Class
I divided the classes this workshop into 3 days which made it  much easier or everyone.

Saturday Class

Part of Sunday's Class.  Actually taken in June because silly me forgot to take a picture on Sunday.
These gals were all here with the addition of 3 others.

I will be posting some of the new products used on the cards tomorrow.

Heidi Blankenship Guest Designer

I am happy to present to you this week Guest Designer~~~~Heidi Blankenship.  I have always admired Heidi's work and was thrilled when she agreed to be our guest designer in August.

I live in MN with my wonderful husband, Eric and our two boys. I am a SAHM and I teach stamping classes in my home and at the LSS, Scrapping On the Go. I have been stamping for 20+ years and I love all things related to paper crafting. Some of my other hobbies include painting, floral design, jewelry making & photography

Below is Heidi's beautiful card she has created for the challenge.  Be sure to go to Heidi's Blog and read her tutorial on how she created this card. 

You will have 2 weeks from today, Thursday (September 8) morning 6:00 AM EST to link your project. You will be eligible to win a prize. Thursday morning Selma and I will be reviewing each entry and select a winner. Our criteria will be whether or not the techniques were used in the tutorial and the overall appearance of the project. The winner will be announced Friday morning (September 9). You can enter more than once. The winner will also be entered in the end of the year $100 gift certificate from Joan's Gardens.



Below are the guidelines.:
1.You must post to your blog or post to the SCS gallery.
2.Or if you are posting to the SCS gallery, you will need to use a special code to tag your card to the challenge. This week's code is JG825 and needs to be posted with the challenge.
3.Link your card/project to the Blue Inlinkz icon listed at the bottom of the challenge.
Important, please have a direct link to your challenge card and not to your blog address.


Remember, you do not have to create what Heidi created, but just some form of of the idea that she has created. There are no limitations with this challenge, just keep Heidi's design in mind.  I can't wait to see what you come up with.

Workshop Weekend

I am very busy preparing for this weekend's (Friday, Saturday and Sunday afternoon) Workshops, so I am going to be pretty scarce between now and then.  But, come next week stay tuned, because I have a ton of new things to show you.  My shop is bursting at the seams and I have so many new exciting things in it.  Please continue to send your orders, but after tomorrow everything will be shipped out next week.

We have an exciting Guests Designer for this Thursday's Challenge, so don't miss her gorgeous project.  You still have time to do this week's Challenge.  Sherry Cheever prepared a great altered art project for you and if you have time it would be a fun project to do.  Thursday 6:00 AM is the cut off time.

I think everyone is going to love the project's we are doing at this workshop.  I will be featuring them next week too.
