I just came from the cemetery after placing flowers on my Mom and Dad's grave sites and also on my first husband Duane's who died at such an early age of 47. My Mom and Dad's families always gathered on Memorial Day to honor their families that had died, almost like a family reunion. I never caught that fever, but I do like to place flowers on their graves each year. I am sure many of you feel the same way.
I am planting flowers and enjoying our beautiful day. I hope you are able to do the same!

I just had to share a few pictures that I took this morning. For years I had bought Lupine plants with no success. So, I bought a package of seeds about 3 years ago, planted them in several spots to see if I could get one to grow. I had 3 plants come up and survive and then they started self seeding. This is one of those plants. It has 15 blooms/buds on it. I am so excited!

I wanted to show you this which hopefully will have flowers later. Lori, my daughter helped me dig Mom's lillies (her pride and joy) . Lori, Cathy (my niece) and I split them. Mom would have been so thrilled. The last thing she said to me before she fell into a coma was for me to be sure to dig her lillies and tree peonies to put in my gardens. She loved them so much, and we are thrilled that we will have them in our gardens. |

Workshop seats available

June will soon be here and it is time for another Joan's Gardens workshop. The workshops will be held on Saturday June 25 and Sunday June 26. The Saturday seats are filled unless I have a cancellation. I do have room for more on Sunday if you would like to attend. We will start at 1:00 PM and end around 6:00 PM. Please e-mail me right away if you would like to attend. this workshop. There is no charge.
The Saturday morning workshop will feature different techniques of brayering taught by Colleen and Vickie. I will teach the same thing on Sunday that I teach on Saturday afternoon.
It definitely will be a fun weekend!
