My want to be Christmas card

I created this card about 3 weeks ago to use  for my Christmas cards.  I have now realized I won't get them done until this time next year.  So, I have redesigned a card that I possibly can get made and I will show that to you later.  It is much simpler...I don't like it as near as well, but I must be realistic this time of year.

The house, tree and snowflake border are all Memory Box dies (which by the way, have arrived and we have a good supply of most of the dies).  Three stamps were used; the sentiment by JustRite, the trees are from the Treescape 4004K by Penny Black Stamp and the Reindeer Run stamp B1288 is from Memory Box.   Yellow Vellum was cut to put behind the windows and doors.

Glue and Seal Adhesive was used to glue down the tree and border.  This glue is fabulous because it does not leavea shine or anything on these delicate dies.  Selma and I both love it!

Kassie Brocade embossing folder was "debossed" with Color Box White Ink and ran through the Vagabond.  This changed the entire look of the blue card stock  Don't you just love it?  It looks just like designer paper now.  The Joy by Memory Box was cut so that when the card is opened it pops up.  The Star was cut out of some scrap silver paper.  The next card I did, I moved the Joy down and put the star above.  I liked the card better this way, but I grabbed this one to photograph (duh).

By the way, I have had some questions about the Joy die.  This die does not have a cutting blade on the bottom, so the bottom is not cut and that is how it pops up.  Pretty clever!!

Hope Is Born  3227K Stamp by Penny Black was stamped above.

Don't feel badly, Joan. I did the same thing last year and ones I had done I put away so would remember where I put them!! You know the rest, I couldn't find them until I was almost done making cards this year but I liked them better this year anyway!! Merry Christmas, Joan, and thank you and God Bless for all the help you always give me.

Been there, done that, and I'm glad to hear it happens to the professionals too! LOL. Seriously though, your card is gorgeous, and I'm betting the revised version is lovely too. Merry Christmas Joan!

Beautiful card Joan~ but I know you will send a modified card that will be beautiful also. I understand wanting that special card sent to loved ones but...Have you temporarily forgotten? It is not all about 'the card' that you send, it is the friendship, thoughtfulness and love you send in yuor card/greetings that matter most!

I love the scene you created here Joan. The stamping in the background really gives the scene some dimension. I love being able to use die cuts because you can get so many different arrangements for variety. And I LOVE the Joy popup - such a fun surprise to open the card and see that sentiment pop up.
