God Bless America

September 11, 2001 will always be remembered as we morn the death of  nearly 3,000 people who perished  after hijacked planes crashed in New York City, Arlington, Virginia and in Pennsylvania.

I have been reading many articles recently that have been written by survivors of 911.  Each one of them have written how much that day changed their life and showed them what is really important.

Let's take time today to remember and pray for those families that lost their loved ones and also for the survivors who lived.  We also need to pray for our nation, our leaders and for the terrorist that want to destroy us.
I thank God today for how He has blessed this nation and how good we have it in this country.  God Bless America!!!

I'm glad you posted this...I've noticed that so few bloggers have mentioned it. On that day we were actually in Canada and arrived in Banff that evening and on checking in to our hotel the clerk mentioned had we heard the news told us to go to our room and switch on our tv....well, you can imagine our reaction...absolute horror. Coming from Northern Ireland where we have suffered many atrocities but nothing on this scale we had felt the horror before but this was really something else. In Belfast (our capital) there was a ceremony to remember the victims and their families and in the next County (Armagh) we have a girl there who managed to get out of the South Tower in time. She has also been telling of her experience on the local media.
We sympathise with all those who have been affected - and that is everyone in the U.S.
