Birthday Card

It just doesn't seem possible that Dylan, my Great Grandson is celebrating his 3rd birthday this week.  Where does time go?  I made this card for him yesterday and it is so cute.  I think he (and his Mama) will love it.

This card went together so quick and easy.  Several items from the Magic of Oz by Graphic 45 8x8 paper pack were used for this card. The Tin Man back ground paper is attached to a folded 6x5.5 piece of Neenah paper.  The bottom postage like stamps were cut and accordion folded and attached at the folds with Score Tape.   The Tin Man's nose has Stickles on it to make it sparkle and everything is popped up with Therm-O-Web pop ups.  I wish you could see the dimension of the card as it really is what makes the card so pretty.

Tip - Yesterday after cutting things out of this paper pack, I glued a 6x6 envelope to the back piece of the card board (underneath the back page) so that I could put the extra cut pieces in it. This way they will be at my fingertips the next time I needed them and I won't have to search through my scrap paper to find it.  This is probably not a new tip, but it is new for me .

Hope your great grandson had a fun birthday! The card you made looks wonderful! TFS My birthday was yesterday, the 18th, and we have lots of September birthdays in our family! Our next to the littlest granddaughter turned one on the 14th. Birthdays with grandchildren are such fun!

I love your idea! I usually put cut out pieces into a small binder in page protectors in alphabetical order so I can find them. Small binder I found at Staples. Your idea would make it even easier to find pieces that match a paper pack. Thanks for sharing this great tip! Hugs!!

Adding an envelope is a great idea. I usually just tuck the pieces in the front and store it with the glue side down. Works really well and as long as I hold the pack tightly when picking it up from my storage box, I don't lose any pieces. When a pad is so used it starts to fall apart I put it in a ziplock bag.

Very cute card! Fun and Playful~
I put my scraps in a protective card sleeve and store 'with' 8x8 or 6x6 pads also. Keeps scraps under control and handy 'with' the paper.

What a great idea! I'll have to remember that one. Also, happy birthday to your grandson! This must be the birthday month. We have 5 birthdays in my family all within 3 week's time... including mine which was Sep 20. Hope you enjoy your grandchildren's birthdays. ((hugs))
