Hello I’m Sue Walsh though I blog under the name “Tillymint.
I’m married to Ian or ‘Walshie” to me, who supports each of my crafty pursuits.
Together we moved from the UK to Sydney, Australia some 20 odd years ago to change our travelling lifestyle and settle down.
I’ve always been involved in some form of craft. I think it’s in my genes…my Grandmother was a talented dressmaker and embroiderer who used to hand smock for me as a child. My Mum is a keen knitter.
I can knit, sew, embroider and quilt but seldom do. I discovered rubber stamps, gorgeous dies and beautiful papers when I called a halt to a busy working life and here we are… I enjoy designing and making cards and dimensional projects. If I can combine some stitching in my projects I’m happy. My supplies are growing and I can’t stop adding to them! In other words I’m probably a lot like you!
I was thrilled to be asked to join Joan and Selma for the summer challenges and hope you’ll join in the fun.
You can see Sue's blog here!
Here is what you need to do for Joan's Gardens Summer Weekly Challenge
Enter a project, similar to Sue's using techniques used in her tutorial. Your project does not have to look exactly like hers we just want you to use her techniques and create something similar. Make it your own, but use the techniques Sue teaches in our post.
You will have until next Thursday (June 16th) morning 6:00 AM EST to link your project. You will be eligible to win a prize. Thursday morning Selma and I will be reviewing each entry and select a winner. Our criteria will be whether or not the techniques were used in the tutorial and the overall appearance of the project. The winner will be announced Friday morning (June 17). You can enter more than once. The winner will also be entered in the end of the year $100 gift certificate from Joan's Gardens.
Below are the guidelines.:
1.You must post to your blog or post to the SCS gallery.
