Guest Designer Call

Joan's Gardens is doing a Guest Designer Call for designers we can feature, along with a tutorial they have prepared, for our weekly challenges at Joan's Gardens during the summer. Selma and I will be featuring the guest designer and her project on each of our blogs and sending readers to the designers blog for the tutorial. We are looking for tutorials that include a template/pattern for a unique style box or other project and/or a new technique.

The only requirement would be that the main products, such as stamps, doilies, punches, etc are sold at Joan's Gardens. Our readers will then be challenged to complete a project using infomation from the guest designers tutorial, and submit the project on the challenge link at Joan's Gardens.

 A winner will be selected by Selma and myself from their favorite of the week to receive a prize. The guest designer will also receive a gift from Joan's Gardens. Since the guest designer will be featured on both Joan's Garden's and Selma's Stamping corner, it will help promote a lot of traffic to your blog. If you have a project you would like to have featured this summer, you are invited to submit the tutorial to Joan's Gardens for consideration.

Do you have a creative stamping technique; a pretty project using doily dies; a creative way to use Tim Holtz products; or maybe how to create a pretty flower with punches?

We are looking for interesting techniques with step by step instructions, or a project that uses a template. The tutorial should include a few photos.

Use any products sold at Joan's Gardens such as: (examples only)

Stamps: Heartfelt Creations; JustRite; LaBlanche; Penny Black
Punches: Martha Stewart and/or punches for creating flowers
Dies: Sizzix dies; Marianne Dies; Cheery Lynn Dies; Spellbinders;
Embossing Folders: Sizzix; Marianne; Cuttlebug
Inks: Ranger products, Memento, Versafine
Papers: Webster's Pages, Graphic 45 , Basic Grey

You can see all the products sold at under Items in My Store on the side bar.

Project should include basic step-by-steps photos to complete projects. Selma has lots of tutorials on her blog to give you tutorial ideas.

Please send a picture of your completed card/project along with your tutorial to Joan's Gardens at for consideration. If your project is selected, we will ask for a photo of yourself and a short bio, which will be posted the day of the challenge your project will be featured.

If you have any questions about a project you would like to submit, please contact me at or 574-656-3663.
