JOAN'S GARDENS FIRST GUEST DESIGNER PROJECT WITH TUTORIAL, PLUS A CHALLENGE FOR YOU
Today we are starting our summer fun by featuring guest designers and a project they have designed, with a tutorial. We want to help you learn new techniques and/or receive templates for exciting new projects. Yesterday, I announced that we are looking for guest designers who would like to teach how to create exciting new projects. We would love to have your submit a project for consideration. Read about this guest designer call by clicking here.
To kick off this new event, we are featuring Glenda Brooks. Isn't her box gorgeous? She is going to teach you how to create the beautiful papers covering this box using Ranger Distress Inks, plus show how to create these beautiful flowers in a tutorial she has posted on her blog with complete, step-by-step instructions.
Let me introduce you to Glenda and give you a little information she submitted about herself:
"My name is Glenda Brooks and I live in East Tennessee. Living in a rural area, there are not any classes so anything I do is self-taught or found while cruising crafting blogs. My passion is card making and altering things to make them beautiful again. I am currently working with Heartfelt Creations as a Design Team Member and before that I served on two other Design Teams; Just For Fun Stamps and the Critter Sketch Challenge. My journey has been a long and tangled one starting as a child with crochet, and weaving in and out through all the current crafts through the years. Some of them fit and some did not but I dabbled a little in each one. When my MoJo leaves, I just make flowers and set them aside to use on my projects. Who knew that a few scraps of paper could turn into such beauty? This definitely keeps my mind and hands occupied and out of trouble! Most days you will find me in my craft room with paper in my hair and glitter in my eyebrows. My favorite products are Heartfelt Creations stamps, Spellbinders dies, and Ranger Distress Inks. You will find I use these products on most every card or project I do. I color my images with Distress Inks and brushes. My goal is to make something beautiful and cause someone to smile. I feel if you can do that then you have arrived!"
We have always been very impressed with projects Glenda designs creating flowers and her use of Ranger Distress Inks. In order to learn these techniques, go over to Glenda's Blog by clicking here for her tutorial. Once you have time to study her tutorial ,you will be able to submit a similar project.
Thank you Glenda.
