I am so happy to announce that Lana is last weeks Tag winner. Congratulations Lana.
A big thanks to everyone who created a tag and thanks to all of you for voting.
I am sorry to be so late today, but Mom had a very rough day yesterday and I didn't get anything done that needed to be done. Hospice has started to come now, which is helping but some days are pretty rough for her.
My tag was so much fun to make and you should see my inky fingers. I love blending all the colors and using lots of Tim Holtz and Wendy Vecchi stamps.
I tried Selma's new technique with the velum flowers. I used a 12x12 sheet of pink velum, folded it in 4ths and cut flowers using Tim's Tattered Floral die. I then covered a piece of Grunge board with a vellum flower and inked it with Mahogany Distressed Ink. I used the next to the smallest flower, colored more of the same size with Mahogany Distressed Ink and then sprayed it with Glimmer Mist. Right away the velum started to curl which gave it the perfect look. I used the Grunge board for the bottom layer to give it some stability. The swirls, love and heart are all cut, colored and stamped out of Grunge board. I love Tim's words. They can be used many ways and he is coming out with new ones too.
You have until Sunday, February 6, 9:00 PM to enter the Tag Challenge. Anything goes. You can make whatever kind of tag you want to make, any color, use any stamp...your own thing. Then once the time ends to enter a tag, the voting will start and will last until Tuesday morning February 8, 6:00 AM.
This is simply a fun thing and something to help you have tags for your gifts or even a tag to send to a friend. I know, I am sure enjoying it!!! I love making tags!
