Today is our 17th wedding anniversary and Jon took off work yesterday to spend the day with me.   We left very early (had a sitter for Mom) and spent the day doing some fun things (shopping at my favorite shop), eating, went to a mall near Chicago and just had a fabulous day being together.  God has blessed me with a wonderful husband and I am so proud to be his wife.  Tonight we are going out to eat at a new restaurant in Culver and 4 of our best friends are joining us.

We decided to get a Blue Ray Player for our gift to each other.  We just learned that if we have one we can play Netflex movies immediately on our TV . Now, if we can just figure out how to hook it up. Are any of you  challenged with all this new technology????  We sure are!!!

Congratulations to Nancy -- your vintage card is gorgeous.

Happy Anniversary Joan and Jon. I am happy the two of you could get away and have some fun. Yes we are the same way, we couldn't figure out how to hook up the Blue Ray Player and set up Netflix and had to call the Geek Squad.

Happy Anniversary, Joan and Jon! It sounds like you had a wonderful day together! So glad you had a chance for some relaxation and fun. My DH is usually very good with the new technology unlike me. If he can't figure it out he calls one of our boys who always seem to know the latest. Hope you have a wonderful anniversary weekend! We are getting more snow as I type. Another three inches I think. Grrr! Congrats to Nancy!

I'm so very glad you were able to have some quality time together with your dear hubby! Nothing like getting away...if only for a day to recharge you! These days I can barely turn on the tv. We got a new one before Christmas and it took me a whole day to get everything hooked up...the Bose sound system still isn't the way I want it!
