What fun!!!
Wednesday, July 28, 2010Today was an awesome day for me!!! I had my picture taken with Tim Holtz after watching a 2 hour long demonstration by him. I was on the front row of his demo table too! He showed all of his new products including his new Vagabon electric die cutting machine that will be out in October. I learned many new tricks and techniques. He is super fun and a wonderful demonstrator.
I cannot wait until I can get my hands on this new Vagabon Electric die cutting machine. It has a one horse power electric motor that cuts metal, heavy chip board, thick cork board, acryclic, and just about anything you want to cut including "paper. (smile) It will start shipping in October and I will be taking Preorders for it when I get back homel
My favorite booth was Graphic 45. It was gorgeous! The booth and all sales people were dressed in the Alice and Wonderland theme to match their Hallowee'en in Wonderland collection. I can't wait to show you their newest things and everything else I ordered too!
Another beautiful booth I spent a lot a time at was Heartfelt Creations! They are wonderful people and so talented! You are going love their newest stamps and dies. What fun!!!
I could go on and on about the people I met and the many booths I visited, but I must get to bed. Jon is picking me up in the morning and we are heading up to the Upper UP in Michiagan where I will be getting to gether with many friends.
Oh, and I must thank my neice Cathy for keep me on track and in the right aisle or I would never have gotten through the show. She has learrned I get distracted so easy and jump from one aisle to another and then forget where I am. Can you tell we had a great time???
Tim Holtz Class

OH my goodness did I hit pay dirt when I was asked if I would like a ticket to Tim Holtz's Class. It was awesome! I learned so many techniques and learned about many new products. We made 4 tags in 2 hours and each one was totally differnet. I love his new tissue tape, crackle paint, Perfect Petals Mist and so much more. I will post my tags when I get home. He was so totally organized, everything about the class was perfect.

The one tip I want to share with you that totally impressed me is: If you use any of Ranger's Distress inks and get too much you can remove what you don't want with water. So often when I distress the edges I get some in places I don't want it....now I know how to get rid of it.
Last but not least, Ranger is introducing a man made block to scrub your hands to remove ink, glue or any other "stuff" you get on them. I just tried it and it removed all the ink that I had on my hands. I think I need a case of that for my personal use. "smile".
Will try to post again when I can.

Yippppeeeee, I am leaving for CHA in the morning and of course I am frantically trying to get everything ready to leave. My neice Cathy is going with me. Monday, we will be taking classes all day and one of the classes I am fortunate to be able to take is Tim Holtz, yea!! I hope to learn lots of new techniques and ideas to share with you. Tuesday and Wednesday we will be "shopping" and seeing all the new things being introduced by all the vendors.
Early Thursday morning Jon is picking me up and we are heading up to the UP in Michigan to attend their annual Stamping Get Together which is held Friday evening and all day Saturday. Sharon Johnson is having an open house at her home on Friday morning. Barb Schram and Deb Saaranen will be demonstrating different things. I am so excited to get to see all of them again. This is the third year I have been able to attend the Stamping Get Together and I have met so many wonderful friends. We will be making 30+ cards (shoebox) and I am also taking lots of things from the shop to sell. We will be home on August 4.
I will have access to a computer in the evening so, please feel free to email me. You can place orders during the time I am gone, but of course it won't ship until after I return. If you need to reach me you can email (text) my cell phone at 5745141453@vtext.com The length of the messages that you send can't be very long, so please keep that in mind,.
We visited this waterfall last year in Michigan. It was beautiful!

My card for Joan's Gardens #6 Challenge
Thursday, July 15, 2010 Labels: Blog Challenges, CardsYou can click here to see the Cyber "Garage Sale" or you can keep scrolling down and see everything (smile}
This is my card for #6 Joan's Gardens Challenge. You can read about the challenge below.
Keep scrolling down or click here to see the newest release (for preorder) of JustRite Stamps. Also I added 4 new dies from Spellbinders. I will be posting more cyber "garage sale" items this afternoon, so stay tuned!
I love vintage things and I have been wanting a Tea Pot stamp for some time. When I saw this on Heartfelt Creation's list of stamps, it said "buy me". I hope you like it as much as I do. It is nice and large and creates a great focal point.
The Tea Pot is colored with Copic markers and I matched it with the colors in the Domestic Goddess paper from Graphic 45. The tag is also from that collection. I love old signs and this reminded me of one. I thought it added a lot to the card. What do you think? What I really think would be cool is to add an altered tea bag, but I was running out of time and didn't have a tea bag. (I don't drink tea). I still might do another card some time with that thought though. I have a good friend who loves tea.
I wanted a little more texture, so I added some lace. I tried ribbon, but that just didnt' get it. The sentiment is from JustRite's new collection Cherished Memories. I thought it was perfect for this card. You could use many others too, such as Happy Birthday etc.
