Card for Joan's Gardens #26 Weekly Challenge

Thursday, December 9, 2010
This is the last challenge of the year.  We will resume on January 6.  I hope you all can join us.  It was so much fun seeing all the work of art for the big #25 challenge.  Please check back this afternoon as I will be announcing the winners of the challenge.

I just love Heartfelt Creations new winter stamps.  We live in the country and this stamp reminds me of our home.  We sit out in the middle of farm land and we are surrounded with beautiful trees.

After stamping the image, I lightly colored the trees and windows with Copic markers  Diamond Dust was applied to the roof and the snow drifts.

The frame is cut out with Spellbinder Label 8. I used Christmas Past Paper by Graphic 45 paper for the frame, because it felt like stars in the sky.

Snow Flakes were punch from Punch a Bunch Punch and Diamond Dust was added to each one.  Tim Holtz Snowflake embossing folder was used for the back ground and a Heartfelt Scripture Sentiment completed the card.

This is so pretty Joan. It does look like your place. How creative is that blue paper -- it makes a perfect star lit sky. Those new Heartfelt Creations scene stamps are so fun to work with.

Gorgeous card, Joan! I love the homey feel to the card. Makes me want to stay home, decorate and bake cookies with a warm mug of hot chocolate as we watch the snow come down. Hmm! Sounds like what I might be doing this weekend. Take care! Have a wonderful weekend!

Gorgeous card Joan. I love this peaceful scene. I also love the sentiment. I'm thinking I need some of the Heartfelt Creations winter scenes next. I can't wait to find a chance to do this challenge.

A very sweet card Joan, so perfect for the winter's cold and snow! I hope you're staying warm with that blanket of white covering your gorgeous home and yard.

I agree with Glenda! I love heartfelt and have used what few I have on many of my cards. I will add to my supplies as funds allow. Your card is beautiful Joan and it reminds my of my aunts home, where we often went for holidays.
