Lupine Flowers from my garden and Mom

Thursday, May 20, 2010

I just had to show you my Lupine flowers that are blooming this morning.  I love this flower and have always had trouble getting it to grow. Two years ago, I decided after a few attempts that failed from the nurseries to plant seeds.  I soaked the seeds overnight because of their tough shell and planted them in several places.  As you can see this was very successful.  This year I have 3 more plants that self-seeded and one of those plants is already blooming a very deep dark purple.

I write this with a very, very sad heart.  I took Mom (who is 95) in for an MRI yesterday and they found a tumor on her spine.  Tomorrow she has an appointment with an Oncologist to determine what  her options are.

We are praying for guidance that we can make a wise decision.  She is in extreme pain and my heart breaks to see her suffer so much.  I know many of you feel like you know her as I have posted things about her many times.  Mom's flower garden has always been so precious to her and she is enjoying the bouquets I am picking for her each day.

So please bare with me if I am missing in action.  We are taking one day at a time.

My thoughts are with you and your mom, as this must be a sad and scary time. May these beautiful flowers offer the both of you their nurturing beauty and know that you have brightened our day by sharing them with us. They are a favorite of mine. Find the children's book about the Lupine Lady -- it is great!

I am in agreement with you all and will pray for God's perfect will for your lives. I know the pain your mom must be in and the saddness that is amongst you all but know that GOD is in the midst of it all and he will make a way.

"I also tell you this: If two of you agree here on earth concerning anything you ask, my Father in heaven will do it for you. Matthew 18:19 (NAS version)

I stand firm in his promise that he will do everything that is necessary to give you all the peace that surpasses all understanding. If there is anything I can do for you please feel free to contact me ((hugs)).

Your flowers are beautiful as is you an your mom. I pray for a miracle and that you both receive all the desires of your hearts.

Prayerful and humbly,
