Beautiful Lilacs

There just isn't anything much better than a beautiful bouquet of Lilacs sitting on my kitchen table.  The fragrance is so soothing and refreshing.  I think our trees this year are the best they have been in years.  Do you love Lilacs as much as I do?  We have the promise of rain all weekend, so they might not be as pretty come Monday as they are today.  I just wish you could get a whiff of the delightful fragrance.

Thanks for stopping by and visiting with me today.  Have a great weekend.  If it rains I might get a card made, if not I will be working in my gardens.  Things are looking pretty good, but I hope we can get some mulching done before the weeds start popping up again.

A beautiful reminder why we look forward to spring. We don't have the same flowers in Arizona because of the weather. But I enjoy what we do have before it gets too hot.

Oh, Joan, they are so very lovely. I've never seen lilacs IRL or smelled their fragrance . . . sigh . . . it looks like you've got some daffodils as well, just saw them for the first time during my trip to Nashville. Northern gardens are just so beautiful, I wish we could grow those flowers here!

I am jealous Joan. Our lilacs are just starting to get leaves on them. It hasn't warmed up enough yet. I do love the smell and hope all my bushes produce well this year. Your center piece is beautiful. TFS

Beautiful Joan! I also love Lilacs - I have 13 huge bushes in my back yard; and when they're in bloom, the fragrance is incredible. Thanks for sharing your picture.

I was just outside and got the most wonderful smell of our lilacs. When my MIL was selling her house she gave us cuttings from all her lilac bushes. I took several years for them to bloom, but now they are just beautiful. We have several colors in a long row and the fragrance is wonderful!!!! They are so beautiful - guess I should get some photos before the rain. Hugs!!

Joan, these are gorgeous! Makes me long for my homestead back up in the Adirondack Mts.! Our property was lined w/ every type of Lilac there was back then! From Snow White to Deep Purplish Blue!!! Singles & Doubles. We gave bouquets to the church, & anyone who wanted some! They are my most favorite flower in all the world w/ Lily-of-the-Valley a close 2nd! Mom always had them growing in the shade under all the Lilac trees! Thanks for bringing back those precious memories! :)
