Take time to Smell the Roses

This black and white card could be used for not only Valentines, but an anniversary or wedding card. (of course, leaving off the Happy Valentine's Day.)

The card measures 6x6 and the Martha Stewart Heart Punch Border was not punched quite all the way
to the end, giving the edges a nice frame. (I borrowed this idea from Becca). Underneath the heart border, I glued a piece of black and white polka dot paper to accent the shape of the hearts.

The Cuttlebug was use to run the front of the card through the Swiss Dots Embossing folder (my favorite I think) and because the size of the card I had a nice border on each end which I accented with the Score It.
Not sure if you can see it or not, but it looks like I planned it.

I stamped the Inkadinkado Rose with black VersaFine Ink and then colored with my Copics, being careful not to smear it. I normally use Memento Ink, but grabbed the wrong ink pad. It worked though, so that was good.
I wished afterwards I had not stamped the very bottom of the roses so the stems didn't come down into the
sentiment, but it was too late. My kids won't even notice the difference though. (chuckle)

Using the Labels 8 Nestie, I cut out the rose, leaving it in the die and sponged the edges with with Copic Ink Marker that I had smeared onto my Teflon sheet and then used the extra large daubers to softly color the

I added a black mat behind the rose to make it pop and then attached it to the Neenah white card stock with Therm-o-Web dimensionals (I love those things). A cute little polka dot sheer ribbon was attached for the final touch.

Many of the items I used to make this card are featured in today's sale shown below.
Thanks for stopping by. I so appreciate your visits and especially love your comments.
Do you have all your valentines made yet? This makes 3 I have made and it depends how many more
I can get done if I send them to the family or individually. I have been called to Jury Duty starting Thursday, so that can certainly interfer with my time to do anything.
