Christmas at the Frickers

This Christmas tree is in our "parlor". My granddaughters have always called it the "pretty room" and still insist we open our gifts in there even though our family is out growing it.
I wish I could get a better picture of the tree, because it is so beautiful. My nephew helped me decorated it this year and he is still talking about what I put on my tree. We put the lights on first and then I add grapevine (I cut a grapevine wreath up), eucalyptus, dried flowers, and silk flower stems....all for texture. Then I add angel dolls, Santa heads, larger flowers, ribbon, bulbs, small angels, bows and any other thing I have collected over the years.

This tree is in our family room and decorated for the little kids. I have stuff animals, Santa lights, candy cane lights and garland, Christmas cards and anything a little one would enjoy.
They open their gifts first and while they are playing with their new toys, the adults open their gifts in the pretty room. With 10 little ones it gets very noisy and hectic. But, what joy they all bring to us.

We also have a tree on our back porch, but it is 7 above zero this morning with extreme winds and I am not going outside to get a picture.

How is your Christmas decorating coming? I would love to hear what you do. Thanks so much for stopping by on this cold wintry day. I am making lots of gifts this year for many on my gift list, so I have not been able to get any cards made to post. I will be posting my gifts once i deliver them.
Click on the trees to enlarge them for a better view.

Your home is way ahead of mine!
Your trees lovely, I collect angels so you can guess my fave one of yours. I understand your feeling about the cold it is 5 degrees and a below zero wind chill here in west Michigan. We have a blizzard warning now also.
I pray your Christmas is joy-filled!

Your decorated trees are awesome (as I knew they would be!!). Of course I LOVE the parlor tree and since I too have a parlor, I decided to put a tree up in there this year too! LOVE it ... makes the room even more cozy!!
Thanks so much for sharing ... I will be sharing a glimpse at our holiday decorations throughout the next couple of weeks too! Happy Day my friend!!

Joan, your trees are beautiful! Maybe if it gets up to 10F you could get the picture of the outside tree, huh, you think? LOL.

I put up a tree for the first time in about 8 years. I have crappy health and moving is difficult and painful, but my husband (Rudy) decorated most of it for me. What a guy. We also put garland across the entire wall unit with a couple of looks so pretty.

I with I could use live trees and to plant in a yard...I don't have a yard, smile.

I have been trying to find the Martha Stewart "Branch" punch which I have seen here. Not the "scary branch". Will you be getting them in again? Have a blessed holiday season.

He's been out and got the fresh holly and that's it for the moment. Love your you always decorate this early?
