Saturday, November 28, 2009
I am continuing the 1/2 price sale through the weekend on the items listed below for the Black Friday Sale. I have deleted all of the items that have been sold out. Some of the items are very limited in quantity, so don't delay in e-mailing me to place your order. I accept Visa, Master Card, Discover and PayPal.
Remember, I only charge what it costs me to ship to you!!!
We had the most delicious meal at Philip and Lori's (our daughter) home on Thanksgiving Day.
The children have their own table right next to ours, so it is one big family dinner.

As you can tell, everyone was more interested in filling their plates than they were at having
their picture taken. Kelsey and Todd went to his family dinner and came later for desert.

I am not real fond of turkey, but I will tell you that Lori's turkey was the best I have ever eaten.
She marinated it with apple cider and spices. I must get her recipe to post some time. I was so moist and almost melted in our mouths.

Our meal consisted of: turkey, dressing (some of you probably call it stuffing), mashed potatoes, gravy, corn, green beans, yeast rolls, jello salad, pumpkin, apple, and pecan pie. Lori does the turkey, potatoes, gravy and the pies. I do the corn, beans, dressing and rolls, and Mom made the jello salad. This kind of dinner makes it easy on everyone. Notice Lori's full set of Autumn Leaf Dishes. She loves serving Thanksgiving dinner on them.

Sounds like you had a wonderful day, Joan! We just finished Thanksgiving dinner a few hours ago (waited until Saturday to be able to spend it with my Mom and step-Dad) so I am still stuffed! Would love to know sometime how you make your dressing. I made it the way Bill's mom always used to (Amish-style) for the third time today, and Bill said I hit the nail on the head today, so that was a great compliment!
