Joy in the Village

This card was a "joy" to make. (no pun intended). I think by now you know I am in love with the new Graphic 45 papers called Christmas Past. I first cut out a 6.5x5.5 Neenah cardstock and attached the small plaid paper from Christmas Past.

Martha Stewart's new Joy Punch was used to punched out of the striped paper for the top border and I added a piece of red card stock under it for a more dramatic effect. Each corner of the red card stock was punched with SU's ticket punch. I bottom is from the new Martha Stewart Frosty Village Punch with added Flower Soft Polar White for a snow.

Using A Merry Little Christmas JustRite Stamp, I stamped the candles first, colored them with my Copics and sponged over that with some gold tone chalk. The Border was stamped and then cut out using the Circle Scallop Nesties. I felt it needed something vertical, so I cut some red cardstock using the Small Deckle die from Spellbinders.

Using the Christmas Past Paper Pad again, , I punched out the tag that is included with the paper pad, adhered it to the Labels 9 Nesties that I had cut out and ran through the Victoria Cuttlebug Embossing folder. All of this was popped up using Therm-o-Web dimensionals. A pretty bow was needed of course so I added it at the top.

Click on the image to see the details much better.

The items I used for todays card are listed for this week's sale.
