Redbud Tree

Wednesday, April 29, 2009

As I looked at my kitchen window this morning I was greeted by this beautiful Redbud Tree.
What a joy it brings to me. I love spring and I love watching all the things come alive.
Spring always reminds me what a perfect plan God has for us. We are certainly counting on that that these days. No change with Mel yesterday, but lots of prayers are being said for her!
I hope to have some time soon to get some cards made. I am missing my creativity times, but
this time of year there is so much to do outside to get my gardens in shape. I divide things and sell perennials out by the road in the spring. My flowers are growing so fast that I must hurry and get that done. So, please bare with me until I get caught up some. But, they are calling for more rain, so I might just have to sit down to my craft table. (smile)

My sweet dogwood tree outside my kitchen window greeted me yesterday with the start of it's beautiful pink flowers! It would be so awesome if they'd stay bright like this all Summer long, but then I guess we wouldn't appreciate their Spring beauty, would we?

Thanks for the update on Mel! Will continue to keep her family in our prayers!

Still remembering Mel.....glad things are stable anyhow. Your trees....beautiful....they look exactly like the cherry trees which line our avenue and are loaded with blossom at the moment. We could send you some rain as the poor weather is bringing down the petals and when the ground is covered in these it reminds me of the lines in the hymn....and on the ground there blossoms red - love that shall endless be....hope you know that one. As you say we are so grateful that God sends us such beautiful nature....nature IS the art of God.

Hi Joan,
Donna from Iowa.. Praying for Mel and asking God to wrap His loving arms around her and her family. He is an awsome God. I am headed to the John Piper confrence in Minnesota tomorrow morning and I will have them put on the prayer request. Remember how bleek the dogwood tree looked just before the blooms! God bless and be with you.

Oh my word, Joan, those pictures are incredible! They look like black and white photos that have been touched up with the purple and a little green for the grass. Extraordinarily beautiful! Keeping Mel in my prayers, as well as the babies and her DH.

I am so sorry about Mel. I hope her family is coping, as well as they can. I am sending positive thoughts her way.

Your redbud is beautiful Joan and you have inspired me to share the 100+ year old apple tree that is in beautiful bloom in my side yard on my blog today! Mark SO ENJOYED coming home yesterday and seeing all the lovely trees/flowers in bloom along the way. What a difference 3 weeks can make at this time of year! Too bad we don't live closer ... I would LOVE to have some of your perennials in my yard!!
I think of Mel often and pray for her to "come back to us" happy and healthy soon! God is watching over her I'm sure.
