Easter Card

I love making Easter Cards because it is one of my favorite holidays. We certainly have a lot to celebrate with the Resurrection of our Lord! And, I love the springtime colors too!

I also love Sharon's Friday challenges and this week we are to make a card with an egg. I think this one fits that description, don't you?

I started out with 5.5x5.5 Neenah card stock white and then I chose a very soft yellow DP that I have had in my stash for some time and accented it with Bazzill yellow card stock. I played around with this for quite a while thinking I would use pink as a back ground. But, it just didn't come together and I liked the yellow much better.

I used two of my new Martha Stewart punches for borders. I love my new Peony Nesties and have used two of them for my sentiment. The addition of the new Kaiser Rhinestones gives the finished touch it needed.

I would have loved to use some of
Sharon Johnson's beautiful silk ribbon for my bow, but I didn't have the right color on hand, so I use the pink Satin instead. Be sure to check out Sharon's ribbons. They are so gorgeous! Also, keep in mind that Sharon will also take special orders on ribbon, so if there is anything you need let her know. Check out Jerri's beautiful card and she had Sharon special order the ribbon she wanted to purchase.
