It is easy to have a pretty Christmas Table
Red is my very favorite color. I love the excitement of it and Christmas decorating allows me to use it through out my house. I have a love for table cloths, place mats and napkins and I always have them on my table. My Mom was the same way, so some things down generations never change.
So, I thought for Heather's challenge I would create the things I love the most. Pretty napkins rings, place cards and some candles that I made and decorated. I decide to use these beautiful Christmas bulbs as my theme for the project. Here are the details:
Candle: I poured the candle into a 4 inch mold, scenting it with my Frankincense and Myrrh fragrance. (ymmmm). I found some gold studs with 4 prongs on them that easily pushed into
the candle after I unmolded it. I cut out the Christmas Bulbs from the Merry Bright Cosmo
Papers with my Cricut, using the Joys's of the Season Cartridge. I love this ribbon from May Arts and thought it went very well with all the papers from Cosmo Crickett shown below . Versafine green ink was used to stamp Holy, Holy, Holy onto the Christmas Bulb.
Place cards: Still using the Cosmo Crickett paper I cut out a piece of the Ornament paper 3 1/4 inch by 4 inch, rounded the corners and scored it with my Scor-It . Then used a gold pen on all of the sides to accent the paper. I stamped my DH's name with my Times Roman font from JustRite Stamps and attached it to the Christmas Bulb and then used Dimensionals to pop it up. Very easy and what a nice addition to a table. Your dinner guests will love it.
Napkin Ring: Talk about easy. I cut a strip of paper 8 inches long and 2 1/4 inches wide from the Ornament Paper and a strip from Merry Bright that was 8 inches long and 1 inch wide.
After attaching the two together and then making a round circle with them, I attached a Christmas Bulb with some Dimensionals and I was done.
