Birthday Card for Kara

My oldest Granddaughter's birthday is Saturday. She already has her gift; I gave it to her Monday when she was here visiting. Even so, I still wanted to make her a special card.

My good friend, Barb Schram, was the
Featured Stamper this past Sunday over at SCS, so I played the challenge. I used Barb's card for my starting point, making the changes I needed.

I started with a top folding piece of card stock 5.5x5.5 inches and covered it with a small flowered print from my new SU Patterns Pack of paper. I topped that with a striped pink print and then the black and pink heart paper.

I love my new stamp set from Inkadinkado called Love and Hearts and I thought the woman's heart face was perfect for Kara's card. I cut it out, leaving a white border and then colored it with my Copic markers. I bordered it with a piece of black card stock which I cut about 1/4 inch larger for accent. This was popped up with a dimensional.

The sentiment is from the JustRite Birthday stamp set. I used my Spellbinders Nestie Petite Oval Scallop underneath it for extra interest. SU's ribbon punch was a perfect size for my ribbon.

I used my Cricut Celebration Cartridge to cut the words "It's Your Day". I think Kara will love
her card and I sure had fun making it. It is nice to be able to sit down to my crafting table again and be creative.
