Soap

I sold my soap and candle making business five years ago and this is this is the first I have made any soap. This is peppermint and it will cure for at least 4 weeks. It has to be trimmed and polished and labeled. I have not decided how I am doing the labeling yet, but I want to do it differently than I did when I had my business. So far, I have 3 different kinds of soap curing; Oatmeal and Honey, Tea Tree better known as Jon's Soap (named after my hubby) and Peppermint. I still plan to make Sweet Pea and Angel but I need to order some colorant for those fragrances.

One of these days when Jon is home, I will have him take pictures as I make the soap.

Edited: I have had several e-mail me to see if I will be making the soap available on my blog and the answer is yes I will after it is cured. I don't know any details yet, but will soon.

Again, I want to come and "play" with you! It must be fun to use different scents and stuff for the soap! Will you sell these, or use them as gifts?

What kind of soap do you make? I love goat milk soap and patchouli is my favourite scent. I always buy some when I go to a craft fair if there is a vendor selling them. I also like lavender and lemon verbena (sp?).

I was wondering, also, if you would offer them for sale, here, on your blog. Have you ever made lavender soap?

Joan, your craft room is gorgeous, and I'm jealous! Our oldest got divorced last spring, and you guessed it, moved back home. So my old craft room is now in boxes! LOL. Can I come live with you? I want to try your soap when you get ready to sell it!
