Soap Making Day

Five years ago I sold my soap and candle making business and I have not made any soap since that time. My family and friends have been whining because they do not like the soap they are having to buy or the money they have to spend.

So I have been collecting my supplies, gathering my equipment so that today I could make soap. I made Jon's Soap with Tea Tree Oil, Peppermint and Lavender. This is the soap that my family all uses and loves and is named after my darling hubby. I will soon make my favorite which is Patchouli and this is a fragrance you either love or hate and I happened to LOVE it. One of my best friends has requested Oatmeal and Honey, so I will be making it too along with several other fragrances.

I will have to say it was fun and felt good to once again make soap. This is a picture of my soap that I used to make and as soon as my new batch is ready to cut, I will take a picture of it.

How beautiful!!! I happen to also LOVE the smell of patchouli, but every time I smell it, it makes me think of *hippies* from back in the day -- LOL!!! NO, I was NOT a hippie -- LOL!!! Were you???? Just kidding!!!!

Oh my goodness Joan, that is incredible! You make soap! Wow, great gift ideas, especially now that you're stamping. What fabulous handmade gifts with custom wrapping as well! The recipients will be thrilled!

Joan, whenever you want to sell some patchouli soap, please let me know. I love that fragrance and it's so hard to find whenever I'm out and about. geescalan@cox.net
