My Friend

This is my last card that I need to make for my girl friends. My friend Joan has owned a restaurant for many years. I am giving this card to her because it is just perfect for her.

I stamped the cook, colored her with Copic markers and cut her out. Then I stamped the cook again onto the polka dot background paper. I cut out just the apron so that I could paper piece it to match the background. I added several layers of papers and continued to use the pink check paper.

I watched a video
Becca made on tying bows this morning and it was the easiest technique I have found. Thank you Becca. I have been able to tie a bow for years, but have always had trouble with it laying flat. Becca's technique lays nice and flat. If you struggle with bows, check out her video.

I hope now to get some boxes made to match my cards. I am running out of time though, so I might have to come up with another idea quickly. I have already stamped tags for my pickles, so that might have to do it. I will let you know tomorrow.

Thanks for stopping by and I love your comments!

She's so sweet Joan, and what a wonderful sentiment! Are you going to post pictures of the Spellbinders you got in? I'd like to see what you have in the new dies. {{{hugs}}}
